Wait, who are you?

Conduit Labs is a stealth mode group of creative hackers in the heart of Cambridge, MA. Conduit was founded by a combination of web entrepreneurs and social gaming pioneers; leaders in the development of Rock Band, Lord of the Rings Online, Guitar Hero, Asheron’s Call and Ambient Devices. We’ve got funding, ambition, and plenty of coffee in our quest to build a new kind of flash-based social gaming.

Although Conduit is a small, early startup, with less than 20 folks, we are funded and offer competitive salaries, and full benefits. We also offer a well stocked kitchen of regular and organic foods, free Friday group meals, and if you use public transportation we’ll pay for it. It may be a bit of a gauntlet to get in here, but we take care of our own.

VP Production You love orchestrating a team to work tightly, collaboratively, and with high quality results on consumer web applications. We’re looking for a product and operations oriented leader to team up with our mix of web entrepreneurs and gaming veterans on a new online social entertainment network. The right fit will be a solid leader, driven as much by process as the desire to enable creatives to do their best work.

A love of the consumer web, games, and taking risks on big new ideas are a big plus. Experience with the production pace of a startup, senior management experience, and a background shipping entertainment products (interactive websites, games, etc) will be key.

Gameplay Engineer You’re a great engineer, with a keen eye for what a polished consumer web and gaming experience should requires. We’re looking for driven, outside-of-the-box programmers to work with the creative and game design team on implementing new forms of multiplayer web-based gameplay. This is a role as an engineer, primarily working in Actionscript, Java, and some PHP, huddling with a small team on iterative, tight deadlines, to build wonderful things.

A love of startups, music, games, and wonderfully constructed interactive experiences are a big plus. Experience with C-style languages, AS3, and experience with shipping entertainment products (interactive websites, games, etc) will be key.

Sr Animator You are tired of being a tiny cog in a giant machine. You enjoy animation, love to take ownership over your work, and want to be a part of the next wave of online gaming. Senior Animator needed to work with an amazing team of industry veterans on a well funded project. Multi-time entrepreneurs and game industry vets are conspiring to create a new era in online social gaming. We’re incredibly ambitious, but don’t take ourselves too seriously.

You’ll be working to create dynamic, primarily human, animations using Maya, skinning and creating rigs. You’ll need 3+ years of industry experience, the right candidate is likely a solid veteran looking to break the mold and try a new kind of project. A love of music, gaming, and the web are big plusses.

Lead Systems Administrator You’re an experienced, senior-level IT or Network Operations professional who’s still comfortable getting your hands dirty with hardware and server configurations, but ready to help an exciting startup company make high-level, long-term technical operations plans. Experience writing and maintaining scripts in python, perl or a similar scripting language is a must; experience handling the viral, unpredictable growth of consumer-facing websites or online services is a plus.

A cultural fit is key, so a love of startups, music, games, and wonderfully constructed interactive experiences is a big plus.
